Hey, I saw your article in Waxpoetics about Korean records, knowledge drop to say the least. Anyway, I was wondering if you had any info about the third version of the 키 보이스, the one that formed in 1969 and had big hits like “해변으로 가요”? I found some Korean websites with info on them but since I don’t read Korean and Google translate is awful for Asian languages, I’ve been having a hard time finding good info about the third incarnation of the band.
key boys, started as a house/show band in military base under name of “Rock & Key” around 1963. later changed their name to ‘key boys’. they had a major member change in 1967. some call it a korean ‘yardbirds’ cause the ex-members of key boys later formed a lot of career considered as a foundation of korean rock scene.
